Author Visit Q&A
Q: Will you do a virtual visit with my class/reading group?
A: Absolutely! I am always happy to drop by and talk about writing with your students. These are short visits (typically half an hour), and I don’t charge for them. However, adding my books to your classroom library is certainly appreciated!
Q: What about in-person school visits? Do you do those, and what do you charge?
A: I do! I love working with students in person and would be happy to chat about visiting your school, whether it be for an hour, a day, or a week. Because every school has different needs and priorities, visits are priced individually. Get in touch if you’d like to find out more! My availability for these visits is limited by my work schedule, so the more notice you can give me, the better.
Q: What age groups are your visits suitable for?
A: My presentations are generally best suited for readers 3rd grade and up.
Q: Do you offer workshops for teachers and/or aspiring writers?
A: Yep! As a former teacher, I really enjoy talking to teachers about strategies for fostering a love of reading and integrating more creative writing into their classrooms. And I love being a part of the journey toward publication for aspiring writers.
